Salted Caramels

Rich buttery caramels.
These are so fun to make and even more fun to eat.
One batch will make you a lot of caramels.
I usually make these and add them to my treat plates.
You could even put them in a bag with a ribbon on it for the perfect neighbor gift.

Instructions

Take a 9x13 pan and line it with foil and spray it with nonstick spray.
In a pot melt your two sticks of butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and sweetened condensed milk.
Bring the mixture to a full rolling boil, and check the temperature.
When it reaches 248℉ pull it off the heat and add in your vanilla and salt.
Pour the mixture into your prepared pan and let it cool.
Once it has cooled dump it out onto a cutting board and cut it into 1 inch by ½ inch sections.
Take cellophane wrappers and wrap your caramels, twisting the ends to seal them.
