BBQ Chicken Pizza

This cheesy, sweet, tangy, smoky dream makes a great dinner.
It has chewy, crisp crust topped with BBQ pizza sauce, bbq chicken, is loaded with colby jack cheese,
sweet peppers, red onion, and scattered with green onions for a bite of freshness.
Be sure to use a quality bbq sauce that you enjoy.

Crust

Ingredients


  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 ¼ cups yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cornmeal

Instructions


In a mixer combine honey, yeast, and warm water.
Wait 5 mins until bubbly, then add in flour and salt.
Mix until combined, then knead dough for 10 mins.
Cover bowl with plastic wrap and put it in a warm place to rise for 30 minutes.
While dough is rising, make the sauce and prep your ingredients.
Preheat your oven to 500℉.
After the dough has risen pull out, punch down and roll it with a rolling pin.
Put on sheet pan, and shape into a circle and tuck the edges under to form a crust.
Pour on the prepared sauce and top with the cheese and other toppings excluding the green onions.
Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
When the cheese is getting browned and bubbly around the edges of the pizza it is ready.
Pull the pizza out and then top with green onions.

Sauce

Ingredients


  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (I use Guy Fieri bourbon brown sugar)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 Can of tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano

Instructions


Combine ingredients in a sauce pan over medium heat, stirring until warmed through.

Ingredients


  • 2 BBQ chicken breasts brushed with bbq sauce
  • ½ red pepper chopped
  • ½ yellow pepper chopped
  • ½ red onion chopped
  • 1 bag of Colby jack cheese
  • 1 brunch of green onion chopped
