The popcorn is creamy with a slight crunch from my star sprinkles, and then your mouth starts to pop.
It’s like a firework show inside your mouth😜.

Ingredients

  • 1 large bowl of popped popcorn (mushroom popcorn preferred)
  • 1 bag white candy melts
  • 1 bag red candy melts
  • 1 bag blue candy melts
  • red white and blue star sprinkles
  • 1-2 packets of strawberry poprocks
  • parchment paper

Instructions

Cover countertop with two big strips of parchment paper, tape them to the countertop.
Take white candy melts and put them in a bowl.
Melt them in the microwave for 1 minute.
Pull them out and start stirring.
The bowl will be hot.
Continue stirring until all of the candy melts are melted.
Immediately pour it over the bowl of popcorn and start mixing as fast as you can to incorporate the chocolate.
Pour the popcorn out onto the parchment.
Spread out the popcorn with the back of a spoon so it is all lying flat.
While your white popcorn is still wet.
Take your red candy melts and put them in a clean bowl.
Melt in the microwave for 1 minute.
Stir until it is all melted.
Take the melted red candy melts and pour them into a plastic freezer bag, into one of the corners.
Hold the back at the back behind the chocolate and standing next to the popcorn, cut off the tip of the bag, a very small hole.
The chocolate will come flowing out.
Drizzle it by moving it back and forth over your popcorn until the bag is all gone, or you feel like you have enough red on your popcorn.
Repeat the process with the blue candy melts.
Sprinkle your star sprinkles and pop rocks all over the wet popcorn so it will stick.
Let dry for at least 3 hours.
It can be left out overnight on the counter and will be fine if you are wanting to make it the night before.
